Coded Lives
digital collage
Diane Doehring
Explanation: The collage contains the image of trisomy 21 ( an extra chromosome 21) that is the cause of Down Syndrome.
Despite opposition from the Disabled Community, New Zealand now requires that all women be offered a screening test for Down Syndrome in the first 3 months of their pregnancy.
This devalues the lives of disabled people and can be seen as a form of Eugenics.
