| These collage works have developed out of my frustration with my own working methods with collage over the last year. I have recently reconsidered the Dada tradition of the
role of chance (serendipity?) in the making of an art work. While the idea of an art work totally created as a matter of chance is a modernist fantasy, the concept has its appeal. These works are essentially homage to
the earlier forms of modernism and those artists and artworks which first inspired me. The red dot of course is an insider's little joke which we all understand! |
