Portrait of the Artist





 The Portrait of the Artist exhibition was shown on the Virtual Tart website in December 2010.
Artists from around the world were invited to submit images of their artworks, in any medium, with the theme "Portrait of the Artist".
76 artists submitted 116 artworks.
From those exhibited works, curators selected 25 to remain on exhibition.
The curators were:
Margarita Djarova, artist and head of Tsanko Lavrenov National Art School in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
Amanda Hewlett, New Zealand artist.
L.M. Noonan, Australian artist.
Mimi Shapiro, artist and educator, USA.
And an artist from NY, USA who prefers to be anonymous.

A book showing images of ALL the 116 portraits that were submitted by 76 artists has been produced.
