The Midas View
wooden hand, piano keys, old paint tin, flute ....
by Dale Copeland
NZ$750, US$370

You remember the story about King Midas? Who changed to gold everything he touched. And then he touched his son.

The leprous touch of gold on the white man's hand.

It seems to me that those who make the pollution while making their profit are much the same. Keenly watching what they gain, they don't notice what they've lost.

And for those who know the difference, the pentatonic scale, the black keys - good for playing a sad and haunting song.
